Windows 11 Clock Wrong? Enable Automatic Time & Time Zone Instantly

Force Time Sync
  1. Press Win + I (Open Settings)

  2. Go to Time & Language > Date & Time

  3. Turn off Set time automatically

  4. Allow a short pause (Wait 30 Seconds)

  5. Toggle On Automatic Time

  6. Click Sync now under Additional settings

  7. Check if the time updates correctly (Verify Time)

If it fails, repeat the process 2-3 times. Sometimes Windows needs a few attempts .

Verify Time Zone
  1. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time

  2. Ensure the Time zone matches your location

  3. Click Get a recommended time zone

  4. Turn on Set time zone automatically (Toggle Automatic Time Zone)

Restart Windows Time Service
  1. Press Win + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin) (Open Terminal)

  2. Run net stop w32time (Stop Time Service)

  3. Run net stop w32time (Stop Time Service)

  4. Run net stop w32time (Stop Time Service)

  5. Run net stop w32time (Stop Time Service)

  6. Run net stop w32time (Stop Time Service)

If errors occur, restart your PC and try the commands again.

Update Time Server
  1. Right-click the clock, select Adjust date and time (Adjust Date & Time)

  2. Click Additional date, time, & regional settings > Set the time and date (Access Internet Time Settings)

  3. Try servers: time.windows.com, time.nist.gov, pool.ntp.org (Select Server)

  4. Click Update now (Update Time)

Check for Windows Updates
  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates

  2. Click Download & install

  3. Restart after installation

  4. Check if the time sync is resolved (Verify Time)
