How to Install KeePass on Windows 11

KeePass is a free tool that helps you manage your passwords securely. It keeps all your passwords in one place with strong encryption. You can create and store unique passwords for each account. Just download and install KeePass to get started.

Direct Download
  1. Open your browser and head over to keepass.info

  2. Click on "Downloads" from the top menu

  3. Under the "Professional Edition" section, download the latest version

  4. Right-click the downloaded file and choose "Run as administrator"

  5. Follow the setup instructions to complete the installation

  6. Choose your preferred installation location when asked, then you're all set

Installing via Windows Package Manager (winget)
  1. Press Win + X and select "Windows Terminal (Admin)"

  2. Enter the command: winget install -e --id DominikReichl.KeePass

  3. Wait for the installation to finish

  1. Go to the KeePass downloads page

  3. Extract the ZIP file

  4. Find KeePass.exe inside the extracted folder
